Duchess of Sussex launches clothes range for job-seeking women

Meghan dressed smartly for her first day back at work wearing a fitted white shirt which was tucked into her pants.

While this is her first official engagement since Archie's birth, she has made a number of public appearances since introducing her baby to the world on May 8.

Meghan Markle launches her Smart Works charity capsule wearing a white shirt by Misha Nonoo and black trousers by Jigsaw from the range that she helped to design.

Taking to the microphone at the launch of the five-piece capsule collection, which includes a £19.50 M&S dress, a £109 bag from John Lewis and a £125 shirt by her friend Misha Nonoo, the Duchess of Sussex took to the stand. For every item bought during the sale of the collection, one will be donated to Smart Works, this 1:1 model allows customers to directly support the Smart Works women by playing a part in their success story - how they look and more importantly, how they feel. As the royal is often spotted in classic workwear pieces such as chic blouses, pencil skirts, and shift dresses, it makes sense that this range is a bit like an extension of her own wardrobe.

'Her knowing smile to the audience endorses that message as we see Meghan showing her authentic, campaigning and charity side'. Not only was she sporting a blouse and pants from the line, but she had an extra sparkle courtesy some jewellery once owned by the late Princess Diana!

The charity's mission is to empower disadvantaged women with the confidence to attend a job interview by kitting them out with an work-appropriate outfit.

Growing threat for tropical system to move into Gulf
We continue to monitor a disturbance near the Bahamas that now has a 70% to become a tropical depression in the next 5 days. That being said, main threats to parts of Middle Georgia remain periods of heavy rain and potentially some gusty winds.

She told crowds that she was looking to "transform the idea of charity to community" and to help lift up other women. "It's a unity thing, a community at Smart Works".

"When I first moved to the U.K.it was incredibly important to me personally to be able to connect with people on the ground who were doing really important work".

"It's also the same vein of work my husband and I will continue doing - really strong community-based projects, and this is something we will be excited to share more about next year when we launch our foundation Sussex Royal in 2020".

In the caption for the post, Meghan thanked the brands for their support - as she explained why the launch was so important to her. There is also a leather tote bag at John Lewis.

Markle certainly knew who Princess Diana was before becoming a royal and, according to some reports, was even brought to tears as she watched the funeral on live television. "Sometimes, however, it can be a potpourri of mismatched sizes and colours, not always the right stylistic choices or range of sizes", she wrote.
