For her first official post-maternity leave engagement, the Duchess of Sussex stepped out in London on Thursday September 12, to unveil her highly-anticipated capsule workwear collection, titled The Smart Set, in collaboration with one of her patronages, Smart Works.

Speaking further, Russell said he sees it as Meghan "going back to basics" after she and husband Prince Harry were criticised recently over their use of private jets.

At the event, Meghan discussed the importance of women empowering each other.

"She's been unbelievable. She's the consummate professional".

After her speech, Meghan jetted right out of there.

The timeless series of outfits - known as a capsule collection - that can be worn in the workplace have been created in aid of Smart Works, a charity which provides training and interview clothes to unemployed women in need, and has Meghan as its royal patron.

Introducing the new Smart Works collection, #TheSmartSet Over the previous year, The Duchess of Sussex and @SmartWorksCharity have come together to launch a very special initiative. The duchess, who wore jeans to Wimbledon and is said to have the weekly shop delivered by Ocado rather than Harrods, reminded the audience that nearly exactly a year ago she had launched the Together cookbook with the women of the Hubb Community Kitchen those affected by the Grenfell fire.

Nonoo told The New York Times Meghan will do anything for her friends.

The launch was staged on the John Lewis sixth floor open-air terrace and Meghan met Smart Works volunteers, clients, and senior staff from the retailers involved.
