Taylor Swift has been locked in by the Victorian Racing Club to perform at the Melbourne Cup on November 5.

"I can't wait to come to Melbourne, and I can't wait to come to the Melbourne Cup", she told the Herald Sun.

The Melbourne Cup efficiency will mark the 10-time Grammy Award-winning singer's exclusively public look in Australia following the discharge of her seventh album Lover final month.

Australian journalist and Taylor Swift fan Dejan Jotanovic has also penned an open letter to the star in The Guardian asking her to pull out of the concert.

Whereas information that the singer was headed to Flemington on Tuesday 5 November was exclusively introduced by The Victorian Racing Membership right this moment the response has been swift.

VRC Chief Executive Officer Neil Wilson said the Club is looking forward to welcoming Taylor Swift to Flemington for Cup Day.
