USC Trustee Suzanne Nora Johnson, a former vice chairman at Goldman Sachs, will chair the search committee, which includes board of trustees chair Rick Caruso; trustees Jeff Smulyan and William McMorrow; alumni representative Bill Allen; vice president for student affairs Winston Crisp; faculty athletics representative Alan Green; academic senate president Rebecca Lonergan; and provost Charles Zukoski.

Southern California athletic director Lynn Swann resigned Monday after three tumultuous years on the job at his alma mater.

Swann's resignation is effective immediately.

"I am writing to share my honest appreciation for Lynn Swann, who has made a decision to resign from his position as the Director of Athletics effective today".

"Lynn has been a leader on and off the field at USC for almost five decades, and he will forever be a valued member of the Trojan family", Folt wrote. The individuals were indicted on various charges for allegedly accepting bribes from wealthy parents to falsely present high school students as athletes to improve their chances at admittance to USC - even though some of these students did not participate the sports they were "recruited" to play at USC. "We appreciate Lynn's leadership of the department over these past three".

Justin Timberlake heading back to the big screen
The drama will be directed by Fisher Stevens with principal photography taking place late fall. Timberlake is represented by WME and LBI Entertainment, while Stevens is repped by CAA.

Folt also named a search committee to choose USC's new athletic director. There was the FBI investigation into corruption in college basketball to ensnared former USC assistant coach Tony Bland, who was sacked in January 2018, and sentenced to probation and community service for accepting bribes to direct Trojans players to a specific sports management company after college. The 67-year-old former Pittsburgh Steelers star told the Los Angeles Times last March that he would not consider stepping down due to the bribery scandal.

Swann was hired as USC's AD on April 13, 2016, replacing Pat Haden. Swann didn't hire Helton, but he signed the coach to a lucrative contract extension through 2023 after Helton's Trojans won the Rose Bowl and the Pac-12 in consecutive seasons.

USC's athletic department has faced several setbacks during Swann's stay, notably involvement in the widespread college admissions scandal and the college basketball corruption scandal.

What does this mean for Clay Helton?

In his place, true freshman Kedon Slovis led the Trojans to an impressive 45-20 victory over No. 23 Stanford on Saturday night.
