Much still needs to be done in order to prevent suicide and to build support for people experiencing suicidal thoughts. At the same time, it is imperative that the government engage in a robust campaign to remove societal stigmas attached to the treatment of mental health problems.

Nevertheless, the survey found that despite the perceived taboo, support is available in many companies. Among the survey responders, 61 percent said that their productivity at work was affected by their mental health.
