Google streamlines music transfers between Home and Nest devices

You could say "Hey Google, move the music to the bedroom", for instance, and the track would stop playback in the first room and immediately resume in the second. Dubbed Stream, the new feature allows users to move music, videos, and podcasts between compatible devices in your home using your voice, the Google Home app or the touchscreen on your Nest smart display. Google is rolling out this feature to all Chromecasts and Google Home and Nest smart speakers and displays today. Today Google have introduced Stream transfer to do precisely that for all cast devices. Lastly, stream transfer allows you to organize multiple speakers into a single group. For example, you can start playing music on your Google Home Mini in the kitchen and keep the tunes coming by saying, "Hey Google, move the music to the living room speaker" at which time it'll start playing on your Google Home in that room.

Many of us have multiple cast devices within their home and the ability to transfer the stream from one room to another seamlessly is something many users have screamed out for.

United States moved troops from northern Syria to 'ensure their safety', Pentagon says
Trump's announcement threw the military situation in Syria into fresh chaos and injected deeper uncertainty into the region. Iran expressed to Turkey on Monday its opposition to an incursion into northern Syria.

Maybe you've taken smartening up your home seriously to the point where you have a smart speaker, display, TV, or a combination of any of them in every room of your house.

Before this change, let's say you casted music to your bathroom speaker, but now want to move it to the living room. Alternatively, you could go in the opposite direction - say if you've finished distracting yourself while preparing dinner, and want to relax with the same video in the TV room - or transfer video playback between different smart displays in different rooms. And if you're using a Nest Hub Max, you'll be able to move a video stream to a Chromecast or cast-enabled TV by tapping on the cast control button. As for video streaming, the only app listed that is specifically called out for compatibility is YouTube - so it's unclear if this will be available for other video streaming services.
