The Los Angeles Lakers are about to get a major piece of their team back. The combination of Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis provides Dallas with one of the best young duos in the National Basketball Association.

Kyle Kuzma is set to make his season debut Friday night when the Lakers take on the Dallas Mavericks, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Kuzma is expected to be a significant contributor to Los Angeles' squad that has title aspirations this campaign, albeit likely as a reserve rather than the starter he was in 2018-19.

Fire burns down structures at historic Japanese castle
It served as a campus for Okinawa's largest public university until the 1970s, and has been a popular tourist attraction since. The Shuri castle was largely destroyed in the second world war before being restored and reopened as a national park in 1992.

Considering Kuzma's injury, he was listed as day-to-day, but it was unclear when he would return. But one that also requires a fair bit of chance that players they think will improve their team will actually become available once buyout season comes around in February and March.

Head coach Frank Vogel described him as "impatient" with the injury but added Kuzma is on board with the team's plan of slowly progressing toward regular playing time. Against the Clippers, the Lakers certainly missed the scoring punch that Kuzma can provide, as their bench was badly outscored in their only loss of the season.

As a player that scored almost 20 points per game last season, Kuzma will provide a big boost to the offense of the second unit.
