Michael Owen on Man United: ‘Where’s it going to end?’

Fans have been awash with hilarious suggestions on who should be the next sponsors of Manchester United.

However, former Red Devils striker Owen feels that the current crop of players at Old Trafford is nowhere near good enough for the long-term.

Since Sir Alex Ferguson left the club as Premier League champions in 2013, United have failed to win another league title.

The Red Devils have made a poor start to the new campaign and they now find themselves down in 12th place in the Premier League table after having won just two of their opening eight games.

They've been terrible this season and lost to Rafa Benitez-less Newcastle United before the worldwide break, and the Magpies are even worse!

Ireland 47 - 5 Samoa: Ireland overcome red card to make quarter finals
Fullback Jordan Larmour , who was a threat each time he ran with the ball, created the gap which gave Sexton his first try. Bundee Aki of Ireland is consoled by Ed Fidow of Samoa as he walks off the pitch after receiving a red card.

"That's Ajax, who gave me the opportunity to develop: they scouted me, they gave me the chance to shine in the world of football".

Sources have told ESPN FC that a number of major brands have expressed an interest in becoming United's principal shirt sponsor and the club are confident of negotiating a deal that would exceed GM's £450m seven-year agreement despite a poor start to the season.

Solskjaer thinks Sunday will be the flawless time to play Liverpool and we all think he's right - why wouldn't we want to play Manchester United right now!?

Their stuttering form under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer continued last weekend when they suffered a 1-0 loss to Newcastle United at St James' Park. They may have lost Matthijs de Ligt and Frenkie de Jong over the summer but they are unbeaten at the top of the Eredivisie and lead their Champions League group having been seconds away from the final of last season's competition. If the managerial merry-go-round gets going again, we could see Van der Sar hop on board.
