Koeman Encourages Depay To Leave Lyon

Depay has been linked with a move back to the Premier League with both United and Tottenham, despite struggling during his time at Old Trafford. If that is in the Leading League or at any other major club, that would be excellent for him.

"It's true that Manchester United have a priority to buy back Memphis", the Brazilian, once a legendary player for Lyon, told OLTV.

Manchester United have priority access to re-signing Memphis Depay, Lyon sporting director Juninho has confirmed. But we have not received any offers so far.

Although recognising Lyon as a big club in their own right, Netherlands boss Koeman believes his side will reap the rewards of Depay joining a new side next year. He deserves the armband like others.

"Rudi (Garcia) will soon make his decision. We will discuss an extension of contract by the end of the year".

Tsitsipas reaches ATP Finals semis as Nadal keeps title hopes alive
Tennis great Rafael Nadal got testy with a reporter Monday over a question about his play on the court and his recent marriage. Nadal dug in with each game and suddenly leveled the set, as Medvedev failed to reach match point in his two service games.

In his first half season with the Ligue 1 club, the speedy attacker directly contributed in 13 goals in as many league starts.

Netherlands forward Memphis Depay is an injury doubt for their key Euro 2020 Group C qualifier against Northern Ireland in Belfast on Saturday while Georginio Wijnaldum is battling the flu, coach Ronald Koeman said on Tuesday.

That led to a move to Lyon in 2015, and at the time there were reports of a clause which gave the Premier League club a buyback option should they be impressed with Depay in the future. On the other hand, Man United failed to qualify for the UCL and are now on top of their Europa League group.

It states: "Club directors can not sign off on a contract containing a "release clause" (pre-agreeing, in exchange for compensation, the breach of the contract by either of the contracting parties), "cancellation clause" or a unilateral termination clause with a French or foreign professional player, whether it be with the player or the club". However, it must be remembered that he only managed to score 7 goals in 53 appearances during his time at Old Trafford. But if he performs at a bigger club, that will also be far better for us. In your opinion, should Man United opt to re-sign him in January?
