After kicking off the November 2 episode of "Saturday Night Live" as Elizabeth Warren, diving into the presidential hopeful's healthcare plan, Kate McKinnon pivoted to reprise her role of Kellyanne Conway to take a jab at former press secretary Sean Spicer, but more importantly celebrate Conan, the military dog integral in helping track down former ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

SNL cast member Cecily Strong played a U.S. Special Forces canine interpreter speaking on behalf of the K-9 Command who has been identified as Conan.

Another reporter asked if the raid was "scary" for him.

"A little, sure", the interpreter said. During the raid, al-Baghdadi had attempted to flee the compound but he was chased into a dead-end tunnel by Conan before the terrorist set off an explosive vest, killing himself, two children and wounding the dog.

Stepping behind the White House podium once again, McKinnon's Conway pointed out that Donald Trump's administration had not given a formal press briefing nearly eight months and "kept our new press secretary in hiding because our past ones were mocked, humiliated and forced to regain their dignity on 'Dancing with the Stars'".

Officials have said that a disaffected Islamic State operative provided key intelligence that helped identify Baghdadi's location. They did not fire at US troops, but several of them wore suicide vests and did not respond to verbal cues to cooperate.

In his statement, Trump claimed al-Baghdadi spent his final moments "crying, whimpering" and "screaming".

Earlier this week, Donald Trump disclosed the name of the canine injured in the United States military operation that killed self-styled Daesh* "caliph" Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, saying that Conan the dog would soon pay a visit to the White House. To which Conan replies-through his dog interpreter-"Honestly, it was a team effort from day one".

Over the weekend, Donald Trump made a major announcement revealing that the leader of ISIS was killed in a USA -led raid. The following tweet, for example, was the subject of a double-bylined New York Times article that featured an interview with the actual Medal of Honor recipient whose image was replaced by the hero dog via Photoshop.

At the end of the press conference, McKinnon-as-Conway said Conan had to meet with Trump to update him on the situation in Syria, but then had to testify against the president.

"He was on the Ukraine call too", she said.
