The service provides thousands of movies and TV shows from major studios like Warner Bros, Lionsgate, and more.

If you use Plex to stream your own media between devices, here's a little Christmas present for you: the service now offers a bunch of free films and TV shows to Plex customers around the world. The amount of ads isnt awful, which Plex says is about a third that of what youd see on cable TV. It's worth noting that the ads served though this service can't be skipped, and even those who are Plex Pass subscribers will see them when they watch.

Plex is available on iOS, Apple TV, Android, Roku, and many Smart TV platforms.

The launch of the streaming service was announced earlier today through a blog post on Plex's official website. Valory said the Watchup deal helped fill in AVOD and backend capabilities along with AI technology for recommendations and analytics.
