Billy Dee Williams, best known as Lando Calrissian in the Star Wars franchise, opened up about his genderfluidity in a new interview with Esquire. The actor no longer uses only male pronouns, Out reports.

Best known for his portrayal as Lando Calrissian, Williams added, "I'm a very soft person. I'm not afraid to show that side of myself", he added.

When Esquire made Williams aware of Glover's comments, he said: "Really?" "I think of myself as a relatively colourful character who doesn't take himself or herself too seriously".

Williams reprised his iconic role as the smuggler turned Cloud City administrator in the upcoming installment of the space fantasy series, "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker", which is slated to hit theaters on December 20.

The man who also played in the critically-acclaimed miniseries "The Jacksons: An American Dream", also had an interesting take on the Emmy-winning TV drama "Brian's Song", about white and black roommates the racial divide on the NFL's Chicago Bears. He joined the franchise for its second installment, 1980's The Empire Strikes Back, and again in Return of the Jedi in 1983 before Donald Glover played a younger version of the galaxy's slickest smuggler in the spin-off, Solo: A Star Wars Story, released a year ago.

That was the first time Williams had heard about it, but he called Glover "brilliant" and referenced his Childish Gambino video This Is America. "Between two guys. Without sex", he said.

Williams also talked about the future of his character Lando, as he revealed that it all depends on the success of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, saying that, "It's a conclusion - certainly it depends on how much money is generated".
