Swift has indeed been personally affected by this change with the acquisition of her back catalog by Scooter Braun.

As Taylor Swift turned 30 on Friday her friend and fashion model Gigi Hadid took to Instagram to wish the "Love Story" singer on her birthday.

"Yet the most fantastic thing to discover was that it would be the women in this industry who would have my back, and show me the most vocal support at one of the most hard times", she shared.

Taylor had accused Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta of "bullying" her after they purchased her label, and claimed they have been making an attempt to cease her taking part in her previous songs on the American Music Awards, one thing Scooter denied.

Over the past year, Swift has repeatedly expressed her devotion to liberal politics, so it's surprising that she would go after a leftwing billionaire who has funded countless high-profile Democratic political campaigns.

Taylor formally addressed all speculations and issues during her acceptance speech at the "Billboard's Women in Music 2019" event.

Taylor said: "I saw that as a female in this industry some people will always have slight reservations about you".

"When this decade began I was 20 years old". In March, Swift announced that her mother's cancer had returned.

"No!" Swift exclaimed. "That criticism is reserved for [women]!"

Before Billie's speech, Cyndi Lauper had praised her as "magical" as she introduced the teen to the stage, saying: "When I first heard Billie sing, I kinda stopped breathing for a sec".

"I do think about it every once in a while, but if I was going to do it, I would need to do it with all of my energy", she told the publication.

Rerecording her old songs is part of how Swift has said she plans on dealing with what she has called the "worst-case scenario" of Braun's Ithaca Holdings acquiring the rights to her first six albums.

Braun, who manages Grammy winners including Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber and Tori Kelly, wrote a lengthy post on social media that he's made calls to have an open discussion with Swift and squash their differences, but said he's been rejected.

"Moving forward I would like to find a resolution", he added.
