Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns will not play against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday (13/01).

In a package featuring a truckload of draft capital and one of the Los Angeles Clippers' leading scorers in Danilo Gallinari, young point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexender was the crown jewel that powered the trade that sent Paul George to Los Angeles.

Gilgeous-Alexander achieved an average of 23.7 points in his previous 13 games, but did much more than score in this game, and also matched his best career in assists.

That performance made Gilgeous-Alexander the youngest player to ever post a 20-rebound triple-double, breaking a 26-year-old record held by Shaquille O'Neal.

The Thunder have won 12 of their last 15 games overall and six of their last seven road games.

He's Back: Larry Fitzgerald Returns To Play In 2020
The future Hall of Fame wide receiver who will turn 37 in late August, is returning for his 17th National Football League season. Teammates wanted him back, too, though nobody seemed totally certain what his final decision would be.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander responded to a challenge from coach Billy Donovan to publish a historic triple-double in Oklahoma City Thunder's victory over Minnesota Timberwolves. But as TI noted on twitter - having a 10 point lead in the final five minutes for the best clutch time crew in the Association may as well be 50 points.

Timberwolves: Towns has missed 14 games with a left knee sprain. He also was battling an illness Monday.

Jake Layman (Out - Toe): Layman's official timetable to return from injury hasn't been announced. Minnesota had a three-game home win streak snapped. Muscala hit three 3-pointers in 12 minutes of action. "See a little bit of snow was kind of nice for a change".

Gallinari already had scored eight of his 14 first-half points on free throws. "I couldn't figure it out".

Timberwolves: Host Indiana on Wednesday in the first meeting of the teams this season.
