The Batman: First Look at Robert Pattinson in Batsuit

Director Matt Reeves released the short teaser on Vimeo on February 14 showing a "camera test" of Pattinson stepping into a dark frame saturated in red light. Turns out Pattinson's cheekbones look great in that mask.

Rather than have the suit leak via some bad pap pictures on set, all badly handled lighting and weird details showing up, The Batman's director Matt Reeves has chosen instead to go the arty, camera test route to show off what Robert Pattinson looks like in the gear.

The former star of The Twilight Saga was officially cast as the Caped Crusader last May. That same design approach appears to carry over to the costume's shoulders and arms, giving the suit a tough, industrial appearance that wouldn't look out of place alongside the Tumbler from Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy.

Pattinson told Variety in fall of 2019 that he grew up a huge fan of Tim Burton's "Batman" films in 1989 and 1992. It's such an absurd thing to say. He didn't accept any prods.

United States investigates Harvard, Yale for failure to report foreign gifts
Most US colleges and universities are required to report foreign gifts and contract revenue exceeding US$250,000. A tour group takes shelter from the rain while they go on a tour of Harvard's campus.

The actor first got to try on the Batman suit during the final stages of the audition process.

"The ritual of getting into it is pretty humiliating", Pattison said.

"The Batman", which also stars Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Colin Farrell as the Penguin, Paul Dano the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon and Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, isn't coming out till mid-next year, but the hype has been building since Pattinson was announced.

Affleck starred as Batman in 2016's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and 2017's Justice League.
