All masses suspended until May: Diocese of London

Further restrictions on all Masses in Portlaoise parish during Covid-19

Funeral masses or masses for the dead have been suspended by the Catholic Church in Penang with immediate effect, as a further precaution to curb the spread of Covid-19.

"The individual is a Eucharistic Minister and last participated in the distribution of Holy Communion on Ash Wednesday", the diocese warned congregants of the service on February 26.

"This pause from public worship will continue until Wednesday, April 8 when a decision will be made about the possibility of a change", said Reverend Todd Townshend, Bishop of Huron in a letter to the diocese on Friday.

In a statement, the church issued the directive noting that it had come up with measures to prevent the virus, after the government announced that seven people had so far been infected.

3 World Series Contenders Nobody is Talking About
Despite being loaded on offense, the Cardinals have been inefficient in 2019 and rank near the bottom-10 in runs and home runs. Louis has title-winning pedigree and are loaded offensively, but thus far simply haven’t delivered consistent results.

"We are making these sacrifices out of charity and for the sake of the common good.", said Bishop Fabbro.

"Our priests, deacons, lay pastoral ministers, and our faithful are reaching out to those in need at this hard time, especially those who are elderly, vulnerable and isolated", Bishop Fabbro added.

Now six congregants from St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in East Elmhurst have tested positive for COVID-19, with the cases tied to a church community group that met on March 3, 7 and 10.

The Diocese has created an outreach page for church members to receive updates.
