Just this morning, it was reported that Disney had halted production on Marvel's Shang-Chi due to rising concerns regarding the coronavirus, or COVID-19.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Peter Pan & Wendy and Shrunk, the Honey I Shrunk The Kids sequel, "both in pre-production" will be delayed.

The Walt Disney Co.is reportedly suspending production on a slew of high-profile movie productions, including the live-action The Little Mermaid, amid the global coronavirus pandemic.

Films affected by the shutdown include a live-action remake of The Little Mermaid, which was scheduled to start shooting in London in a matter of days.

In the midst of growing concerns around the spread of novel COVID-19, Disney has made a decision to suspend production on several live-action movies. "We will continue to assess the situation and restart as soon as feasible", said a Disney spokesperson.

District Court Judge Timothy Kelly in Washington, D.C. must still approve conditions set by the Department of Justice. Incoming T-Mobile CEO Mike Sievert said last month that his deal with Sprint could be closed on April 1, 2020.

In addition to delaying the release of Mulan, at least two other movies are being delayed past their April release dates as well, New Mutants and Antlers.

The Little Mermaid stars Halle Bailey as Ariel, Melissa McCarthy as her evil aunt Ursula, Javier Bardem as her father King Triton, Daveed Diggs as Sebastian, and Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric.

According to various reports, Disney has already stopped filming projects that are now in production, such as Guillermo del Toro's Nightmare Alley, the filmmaker's follow-up to the Oscar-winning The Shape of Water, which is being produced through Searchlight Pictures, and Ridley Scott's The Last Duel, through 20th Century Studios, which stars Matt Damon, Ben Affleck and Adam Driver.

This all comes as coronavirus cases have now topped 125,000 globally.
