Kenny tied the knot five times during his life - which he blamed on choosing a career in music.

The singer and 52-year-old beauty are parents to 14-year-old identical twin sons, Jordan and Justin. "I know that we all know that Kenny is in a better place than we are today and I'm pretty sure that he's going to be talking to God sometime today", she said in the video before breaking down into tears and showing off a framed photo of the two of them. I don't think I would either but I will make you a promise.

In 1991, he co-founded the restaurant chain Kenny Rogers Roasters with former Kentucky Fried Chicken CEO John Y. Brown Jr. Despite his success on both stage and screen, it was for his country music that he preferred to be known.

In 1966, Kenny joined The New Christy Minstrels, where he met his frequent collaborator Kim Carnes. "Absolutely. I'll miss the faces of the people that are out there and the laughs and smiles but not as much as I would miss my boys", Rogers said.

During the course of his remarkable music career, Rogers successfully added 24 number-one hits to his credit.

The Grammy-winning star, whose career spanned six decades passed away peacefully at home in Sandy Springs, Georgia, from natural causes.

He'd repeat that success again in 1983 with his iconic duet with Dolly Parton, "Islands in the Stream", which was written and produced by the Bee Gees. The two were paired at the suggestion of the Bee Gees' Barry Gibb, who wrote "Islands in the Stream".

Canadians have increasingly sought government support over the past week as the pandemic encroaches ever further on daily life. Essential cross-border workers like health-care professionals, airline crews and truck drivers will be permitted to cross.

Rogers had announced a farewell tour in 2015 and was able to keep it going through December 2017. "And you and Kenny together were pure magic".

Toward the end of her reaction, she held up a picture of herself and Rogers. The iconic singer dominated the pop and country charts in the 1970s and 1980s with back to back hits. WE ARE THE WORLD was filmed at his studio.

Many more stars and close friends of the music producer shared tearful tributes on Twitter and Instagram following the announcement of Kenny's death.

Rogers appeared in TV series like Touched By An Angel, Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman and served as a narrator for an episode of How I Met Your Mother.

"There's story songs that have social significance, or they're ballads that say what every man would like to say and every woman would like to hear".

Rogers is survived by his last wife Wanda and five children.
