True to her word, she and Lovato hunkered down on Tuesday for a freewheeling conversation, discussing everything from struggles with body image to how they cope with negative thoughts.

Cyrus also spoke about dealing with body-shaming after her VMAs performance with Robin Thicke back in 2013.

Miley Cyrus, 27, and Demi Lovato, 27, proved they're on good terms when they appeared together on the second episode of Miley's new Instagram live talk show, Bright Minded: Live With Miley, on March 17. "I stopped wearing skirts on stage, all this s- because after the VMAs...everyone started comparing me to a turkey and putting a turkey in my outfit", she explained. "I was like just so skinny and so pasty and they kept putting me next to this turkey, and I was feeling so bad about myself that I did not wear a bikini for like two years".

Bright Minded: Live With Miley will air every day this week at 11:30 a.m. PT on Miley's Instagram account. Bright Minded live with Miley just went to a whole new level, one of the most inspiring women that I have the honor of calling a friend for the last 15 years has made herself available to be on my Insta Live show. "I wish I could've been there, but I didn't know and I feel like we've gone through times where we're closer and then distant-and that's fine, that's what friends do".

Getting straight to business, Cyrus asked the "I Love Me" singer what her tips are for staying grounded during hard times.
Lovato shared with Cyrus that she started frequenting church in December and "found my relationship with God". "But if that ever f-ing happens again, you better call me".

Kevin Durant Tests Positive For COVID-19
Kevin Durant has tested positive for the coronavirus , according to Shams Charania of The Athletic (Twitter link). One of the players is exhibiting symptoms of the cornavirus, but the other three are asymptomatic.

She explained: "We cannot talk forever and then some bulls### will go down, and I'll just know you're the person I want to reach out to".

Elsewhere during their Instagram Live video, Cyrus praised her friendship with Lovato, telling viewers that in dark times like this pandemic it's really important to reach out to people who are "illuminating".

"I feel like you've always been such a light and that's why we connected at 14".

"Or maybe we were just gay as f**k!" "But in reality, I was working out so much and eating such a strict diet that I wasn't confident", Lovato said.

Over on Twitter, it's safe to say fans are loving the love between Lovato and Cyrus. "I don't ever think about someone being a boy or someone being a girl ... It, I feel like, helped young people learn to accept their bodies when it starts to change". Lovato, for her part, has described her sexuality as "very fluid" in a 2018 In Style magazine interview. During a chat with Miley Cyrus on social media, the I Love Me singer shared that she is now staying with her parents.
