The question-and-answer session lasted nearly 30 minutes and averaged close to 50,000 viewers, including former President Barack Obama, on Instagram Live.

Warriors star Stephen Curry plans to archive his Instagram coronavirus question-and-answer session.

"We don't know whether that's going to happen with this virus". Europe, particularly Italy, is still in a bad situation. The United States is a big country, we have so many different regions. New York City is having a bad time, but there are places [in the US] that are doing quite well.

On Thursday's chat, Curry revealed for the first time he had been tested for the virus. "They went up and down and are starting to get back to some normal life", Fauci told Curry.

Curry missed two games this season because of the flu, but that was prior to the onslaught of COVID-19 though the country, which has infected more than 69,000 nationwide and killed more than 1,000, according to Johns Hopkins University.

The Warriors have been one of the few National Basketball Association teams not to test all its players. He said earlier this month he had tested positive for Influenza.

This is the latest effort from Curry to help in the fight to limit the spread of COVID-19.

The two-time Most Valuable Player has advocated for social distancing during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Fauci also said it's important not to overwhelm emergency rooms, saying that people should "stay at home" if they're symptomatic, call their health care providers or local health officials, and follow instructions. He has advised a number of USA presidents on HIV/AIDS, as well as other domestic and global health issues.

"We are starting to see that there are some people, like you, who are younger with no underlying conditions, who are getting seriously ill", Fauci said. One, you need to protect yourself because you're not completely exempt from serious illness.

"That's what we've got to be careful of". "This is serious business".

Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and the White House's infectious disease expert, told Curry the curve trajectory needs to come down before sports can come back.

Former Warriors teammates Andre Iguodala and Leandro Barbosa also watched the discussion, as did pop star Justin Bieber.

"I appreciate everybody chiming in because I think this is really dope", Curry said before the chat began. "I think we all can take some of the information we're going to hear and pass it to our inner circles", he said.
