Now imagine if you just spent the last seven months in space and you're about to return to earth that has dramatically changed that's what's happening to Andrew Morgan and Jessica Meir as they return back to earth after spending seven months in the worldwide space station.

Meir said, "We can tell you that the Earth still looks just as stunning as always from up here, so it's hard to believe all the changes that have taken place since both of us have been up here".

"It's quite surreal to see it unfolding on Earth below", Meir said.

The other two people who are on board the spacecraft with Morgan are his colleagues at NASA, namely Cosmonaut Oleg Skripochka, who now commands the Expedition 62 and astronaut Jessica Meir.

Meir said she is looking forward to seeing her family and friends again, even if just virtually. The astronauts opined it is freakish to immediately visualize from the space station on the earth without people wandering around.

Andrew Morgan said the crew has tried to keep atop the pandemic news.

"This mission is different", added Cassidy. The three astronauts who landed safely will remain there for six months before returning to Earth. An oxygen tank explosion aborted the moon-landing mission. "Occasionally you can. But, if you think about it, we are 250 miles above the surface of the Earth and the distance to the stars is way, way more than that".

Despite the ongoing COVID-19 crisis and many countries are initiating lockdown, NASA has successfully lifted off the mission. "We're busy with superb pursuits and duties and don't really feel the isolation". Astronaut Chris Cassidy for NASA and cosmonaut Anatoly Inanishin with Vagner Ivan for NASA will join them soon for the launching of the orbiting lab using Soyuz spacecraft that is owned by Russian Federation on the 9 of April.

Cassidy, who arrived at the station on Thursday, has already had a taste of life in the world of coronaviruses.

The launch of a Russian Soyuz rocket carrying those astronauts was carried out under tight restrictions because of the coronavirus. The crew members, who routinely go into quarantine ahead of launch day, stayed in isolation longer than normal because of the virus. As Cassidy explained, it's hard to see the stars from the space station. "No virus is stronger than the human desire to explore", said NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine. Ever since the Space Shuttle was retired in July 2011, NASA has bought flight tickets for its astronauts at a cost of $86 million per seat, which has mostly been successful.
