For the second straight day, there were more recoveries from COVID-19 in Saskatchewan than there were new cases.

Saskatchewan now has 193 active cases and has reported 573 cases since the COVID-19 outbreak began.

Two of the new cases are in the area of the village of La Loche and three others are near the village of Beauval. Outbreaks in medical facilities are declared after a single case is reported, as per provincial health administration guidelines.

Regina is now reporting no active cases, along with the south region.

There have been 363 recoveries so far in Saskatchewan.

Six people have died in Saskatchewan to date.

There are 29 active cases in the north region, which includes the cities of Lloydminster, Meadow Lake, North Battleford and Prince Albert.

There are no active cases in the Regina area or the southern region. The area has 202 total cases; 151 of those cases are considered active.

Of the total number of cases, 197 have been in the far north, 163 have been in Saskatoon, 105 have been in the north, 76 have been in Regina, 15 have lived in the southern region and 12 have been from the central area of the province. Eight are receiving inpatient care (five in the north and three in Saskatoon) and three are in intensive care (all in Saskatoon).

In particular she said she's seen health care workers, those who are sick, people from Northern communities and Indigenous people stigmatized.

The ages break down into 79 cases under the age of 19, 201 cases between 20 and 39, 178 between 40 and 59, 98 between 60 and 79 and 17 over the age of 80.

There were 529 tests done Sunday, increasing the province's total to date to 37,439.

Both provinces are still slated to move forward with the next phase of their reopening plans - Saskatchewan will move on to large-scale reopenings May 19, while Manitoba will hit their next step as early as June 1.
