ASUS says that its Google Meet hardware kit will begin shipping out from June onwards and will be available in 28 countries.

Google's video conferencing tool Google Meet - previously known as Hangouts Meet, has hit 50 million downloads on Google Play Store.

Currently, Meet allows managing 250 people in a group video call. Also, most people are away from home.

"We've re-engineered Google Meet, originally built for secure business meetings, to make it free and available to all".

Washington Nationals to unveil World Series rings in virtual ceremony
After a longer wait than usual, the reigning World Series champion Washington Nationals are finally getting their jewelry. The start of the 2020 Major League Baseball season has been temporarily delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Altogether, the company sells three variations of the kit: one for beginners, another for medium-sized rooms and another for larger rooms and many participants.

Breaking it down, the hardware kit consists of a Chromebox, aptly referred to as the "Google Meet Compute System". That kit includes a speaker mic to place on a table, a UHD camera to clip to a huge TV, and a touch screen panel for easier meeting management.

Designed for conference rooms with up to eight people, the Starter Kit and Small / Medium Room Kit give you a camera with a 120-degree field of view and the ability to zoom up to 4X without losing 720p quality image, according to Asus.

Disclosed to ASUS" website, the "Large Room Kit' is made for rooms of up to twenty people and is also created to work with Logitech's PTZ Pro 2 Camera (capable of 1080p video and 10x zoom). The PTZ Pro 2 captures 1080p video with 10X zoom and needs to be purchased separately. The increased adoption comes after the software giant made the service free for everyone with a Google account to use.

In a blog post at the beginning of April, Google revealed that the Meet service is now adding around 2 million new users every day. The change, however, will not be applicable to G-Suite users.
