While the National Basketball Association waits for the proper conditions, at least in their eyes when it comes to restarting the season, the star players who draw the eyes of the audience had their own discussion about whether they will want to return to the floor and how they are going to present that front to the rest of the rank-and-file players in the union.

Sports, Oklahoma City Thunder guard Chris Paul arranged a call with the league's superstars on Monday to discuss how they want to continue the season.

Other players on the call included LeBron James, Damian Lillard, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard and Steph Curry. Haynes says many players not on playoff contenders feel the season should only resume with playoff teams to minimize the risk of virus exposure.

"For some players out of the playoff picture, there's concern a canceled season could negatively affect the next CBA", he wrote.

But of that group, only Curry and Lillard play for non-playoff teams. No timetable is now set for the league's potential resumption, which would nearly certainly occur at a neutral site such as Orlando or Las Vegas.
