Francis Ngannou returned to the Octagon on Saturday night for UFC 249, but he didn't stay there very long.

The UFC disagreed, though UFC president Dana White said the victor would get the first crack at the victor of the rubber match between Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier that will be held later this year. But that strike proved to be the only strike in anger he would land, as Ngannou exploded into life.

The shot knocked out "Bigi Boy" instantly, and needed referee Dan Miragliotta to dive in to spare him any further punishment as Ngannou waded in with more heavy shots.

"It's just about business and nothing more".

Sioux tribe rejects governor's request to remove checkpoints
Tribes are meant to get permission from state authorities if they want to close or restrict travel inside their reservations. Late last month, the Bureau of Indian Affairs said the tribes can not set up checkpoints without consulting with the state.

Ngannou finished Jairzinho Rozenstruik in 20 seconds of their heavyweight fight in Jacksonville, Fla. Ngannou-Rozenstruik was considered an unofficial No. 1 contender bout. "He has a lot of potential, but he has to take a step back before fighting someone like me". Miocic is not ready to fight due to the coronavirus pandemic and his position as a firefighter in Ohio. It was put in a prime position on Saturday's card, which took on added significance since it was the first sporting event in the US since the coronavirus began forcing the shutdown in March.

With this destructive streak behind him, there's now no denying that Ngannou is the next man in line for a UFC heavyweight title shot once champ Stipe Miocic and former champ Daniel Cormier settle their score in a yet unscheduled trilogy fight.

"When I heard he called me out, I knew he didn't know what he was doing", Ngannou said.
