After being placed in a medically induced coma, Cordero underwent a leg amputation operation and experienced lung damage before waking from the coma on May 12.
Broadway actor Nick Cordero, whose battle with COVID-19 has made him one of the most public faces of the pandemic, is still "fighting" despite a recent setback, according to an Instagram Stories update from his wife Amanda Kloots.
"Unfortunately things are going a little downhill at the moment", she said through tears on her Instagram story.
"Nick has had a bad morning", said Kloots, 38. Last week, the actor was finally on the road to recovery but his wife Amanda Kloots has recently revealed that his health is once again going downhill. On Wednesday, however, Amanda Kloots announced on Instagram that her husband's health was declining.
Biden holds 11-point lead over Trump
Trump has more support from male voters by 7 points, but Biden is heavily preferred by women voters, according to the poll. Quinnipiac's April poll had Biden at an 8-point advantage. 39% of voters polled say they would keep Trump in office.
"I know that this virus is not going to get him down", she said tearfully.
But his health got worse on Wednesday, she said, asking fans for their prayers during an Instagram Live stream.
He and Kloots are parents to a son, Elvis, who is about to turn 1.
Cordero entered the intensive case unit at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles, US, on March 31 and has been on a ventilator and unconscious after contracting Covid-19. It's not how his story ends, so just keep us in your thoughts and prayers today. Though he was treated with blood thinners for a while to help stop the clots, his doctors made a decision to stop the treatment because it was causing internal bleeding.
