Suresh Raina, Irfan want BCCI to allow Indians to play league overseas

"Allow us to play in two leagues

During an Instagram live session on Saturday, Suresh Raina and Irfan Pathan got together. As of now, Indian players have not been issued NOCs to play in any of the overseas leagues, while players from most other cricketing countries have the option to ply their trade in multiple such tournaments, with, at best, a cap on the number of such participations.

Once considered an automatic selection for India's limited-overs sides, Raina played 226 one-dayers and 78 T20 internationals but has not worn the blue jersey since July 2018.

"Allow us to play in two leagues".

Following Raina's stand on this, a BCCI official had said that the board wanted to maintain the exclusivity of the Indian cricketers and ensure that non-contracted players are able to command good value in the IPL.

Pathan coached the Jammu and Kashmir team in the domestic season this year and he said that he had offers to play in "three leagues" when he was offered the J&K job.

After Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), the Emirates Cricket Board has offered to host the suspended edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the United Arab Emirates.

Yuvraj, who announced global retirement in June 2019, went on to represent Maratha Arabians in the Abu Dhabi T10 League as well. The only thing was that I had to announce my retirement and I was doing the rounds of the BCCI to understand what the rules were. If after 30 years the player is not in your board's thoughts Should give him the opportunity to play foreign T20 leagues.

"There is a different mindset in different countries". If you talk about Australia, then there is an example as Mike Hussey, who made his debut for Australia at the age of 29.
