SpaceX, Blue Origin, and Dynetics, a subsidiary of Leidos, have begun working on conceptualizing their human carriers which the astronauts will use to land on and take off from our lunar neighbor. Blue Origin got a specialized rating of Acceptable and an administrative rating of "Excellent", while Dynetics got specialized and administrative appraisals of Very Good. SpaceX's Starship is meant to be fully reusable. The system "meets or exceeds all of NASA's threshold values" for useful and execution necessities, the report states.

Kim Doering, vice president of Space Systems at Dynetics, said, "Dynetics is excited to lead this expert team of subcontractors that will return Americans to the lunar surface". As a journalist for Coastal Morning Star, Claude covers national and global developments. Moreover, Tuskegee indicated that for commercial launches, the Dynetics HLS could be flown aboard United Launch Alliance (ULA)'s Vulcan Centaur rocket.

The human landing system awards under the Next Space Technologies for Exploration Partnerships (NextSTEP-2) Appendix H Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) are firm-fixed price, milestone-based contracts.

Developing the lander is crucial to the Artemis moon program.

The three they will compete against each other during the contract period, and will end in February 2021, when NASA decides which of them will have the opportunity to carry out the demonstration missions.

Lockdown measures to be eased by Monday, says Boris Johnson
"But the ambition clearly is to get up to 200,000 a day by the end of this month and then to go even higher". The government has previously stressed the six-week-old measures would only be lifted gradually.

And it aims to cultivate allies around NASA's plan to put humans and space stations on the moon within the next decade. Artemis is the successor to the renowned Apollo programme, which landed six crewed missions (Apollos 11, 12, 14, 15, 16 and 17) on the Moon during the period 1969 to 1972, and is meant to return astronauts to the lunar surface by 2024.

During each phase of development, NASA and its partners will use critical lessons from earlier phases to hone the final concepts that will be used for future lunar commercial services.

Apollo 17's Eugene Cernan was the last American astronaut to walk on the moon and left the last human boot print on it on December 14, 1972, two and a half years after Neil Armstrong's famous "first step".

NASA, as it grows increasingly involved in diplomacy in America, is invested billions of dollars into the Artemis project.

As the coronavirus rages, NASA is making strides toward its ambitious goal to launch astronauts to the surface of the Moon in the next four years. It is a two-part vehicle, which lands and lifts off from the surface using the bottom portion as a launchpad.
