Unlocking newer iPhone models that use Face ID can be annoying during the current pandemic. According to 9to5Mac, the update includes the first version of the company's Covid-19 exposure notification API.

As discussed in our iOS 13.5 preview, the update includes various improvements for Face ID and FaceTime, as well as support for COVID-19 contact tracking apps by health authorities. While the API will be introduced in all iPhones, contact tracing app developers will be required to enable the use of the API by the respective apps, in order for them to come into effect.

Last fall, Drake and Kylie were linked after she and Travis Scott split , but most reports said they were just friends. Kylie wasn't the only celebrity to receive a shout-out by the "Jumpman" rappers .

However, it's up for participating health authorities to create a contact tracing app that taps into the exposure notifications APIs. You can also delete your Exposure Log and check who has requested to check your Exposure Log when public health agencies release their apps. The exposure notifications, for the uninitiated, are alerts that users will receive on their phones if they have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for or is highly likely to test positive for Covid-19. To ensure user privacy, Apple and Google state that temporary exposure keys are generated randomly instead of being derived from a tracing key. The updates speed up access to the passcode field when the facial recognition technology detects that you're wearing a face mask - or anything that hides half of your face.

Apple has updated Group FaceTime with a new toggle that disables automatic enlarging of the tile belonging to the person who is speaking. It works not just with the default unlock screen but also when authenticating with the App Store, Apple Books, Apple Pay, iTunes, and other apps that support signing in with Face ID.
