Queen Bey will unveil Black is King on Disney Plus on July 31, 2020, which she wrote, produced and directed and based on last year's The Lion King movie and accompanying visual album, Variety reports.

Queen Bey voiced the character Nala in The Lion King: The Gift, the anniversary of which this latest release coincides with. The original album featured multiple star-studded performances, included appearances by Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell Williams, Childish Gambino, 070 Shake, and (most perfectly) Blue Ivy Carter.

A teaser trailer for Black Is King is now available to watch on Beyoncé's website. "The film is a story for the ages that informs and rebuilds the present".

We have a feeling Beyoncé will continue to spread a lot of joy with Black Is King.

Gutierrez has since released a video on to social media in which he thanked people for "all the love and support". Most of the comments were pointing out how stupid her reaction was against the Starbucks barista .

It took one year to produce the film, with Bey working alongside a crew that represented "diversity and connectivity". The film is inspired by the voyages of Black families throughout time, as it traces a young king's ascension to the throne.

"These timeless lessons are revealed and reflected through Black voices of today, now sitting in their own power", the statement continued.

The visual album arrives on the heels of another exciting Beyoncé release, "Black Parade", a new single dropped on Juneteeth. "A story of how the people left most broken have an extraordinary gift and a purposeful future".

On Saturday night, the iconic Houston-born singer and performer announced a new visual album called Black Is King.
