Reddit and Twitch became the latest social media companies to ban or suspend pro-Donald Trump accounts over hate speech on Monday, further isolating Facebook in its reluctance to enforce content rules against the U.S. president's hateful and violent rhetoric.

"Reddit is a place for community and belonging, not for attacking people".

The website also introduced two new rules: first, that communities and users who promote hate based on "identity or vulnerability" will be banned.

Reddit CEO Steve Huffman announced in a post that the r/The_Donald forum, which boasted over 790,000 subscribers as of earlier Monday, has been shuttered for frequent rule-breaking, antagonizing the company and other communities and for failing to "meet our most basic expectations".

In another high-profile action, Amazon.com Inc's AMZN.O live-streaming platform Twitch also said on Monday that it had temporarily banned Trump's channel, citing its hateful conduct policy.

The company says hate speech, as well as violent and racial injustice content need to be eradicated from the sites.

Peter Bach, a wellness coverage specialist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Most cancers Heart in NY explained in an e mail. It argued remdesivir could save $12,000 per patient by getting people out of the hospital faster.

Reddit already dealt a major blow to the pro-Trump subreddit a year ago by severely restricting its visibility and functionality over "repeated rule-breaking" through a process known as quarantining.

Only about 200 of the banned forums had more than 10 daily users.

Twitch said the offending comments aired on the channel included Trump's remarks from 2015 saying that Mexicans coming into the United States were "bringing drugs", "bringing crime" and were "rapists". Reddit, an online comment forum that is one of the internet's most popular websites, on Monday, June 29, 2020 banned a pro-Donald Trump forum as part of a crackdown on hate speech.

"All communities on Reddit must abide by our content policy in good faith", Reddit said.

The subreddit and its more than 750,000 subscribers had played a major role in shaping the trollish tone and style of the Trump campaign's digital persona during the 2016 campaign.

When Trump's team started his account on the site past year, Twitch informed the team that the company wouldn't make exceptions to its content policy for political or newsworthy content, the spokeswoman said.
