The Redmi 8 and Redmi 8A featured the same Snapdragon 439, but that uniformity will apparently not continue this time out, as the Helio G25 rumored for the Redmi 9A should be quite a bit weaker than the Helio G80 on the Redmi 9.

Both devices are not officially announced yet but we reckon that it should be priced lower than the Redmi 9.

As per a report via GizGuide, Xiaomi will be launching the Redmi 9A in July.

According to Xiaomi Malaysia's Facebook page, the full details of its new Redmi smartphones will be revealed tomorrow, the 30th June 2020.

The key specifications and features of Xiaomi's upcoming Redmi 9A have been revealed through a catalog intended for the Philippines market.

Other leaks suggest that the phone will come with single-band 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and 4G connectivity. As per previous reports, the phone would feature a body that's 164.85mm and a width of 77.07mm. It is worth noting that the same charger comes with the Redmi 8A, but the smartphone itself supports 18-watt charging.

While there's not any information on the pricing yet, we expect the phone might be launched for a price nearly like the Redmi 8A. Both phones are likely to be launched in India at some point as well.
