Black Panther’ actor Chadwick Boseman dies at 42

Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman has passed away.

According to a statement posted to his verified Twitter account, the beloved actor died in his Los Angeles home with his wife and family by his side.

Chadwick was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer in 2016 and battled with it for four years before it progressed to Stage 4.

"A true fighter, Chadwicker perservered through it all, and brought you numerous films you have come to love so much", the statement added.

Boseman's battle with cancer was not known by the public. Friday also happened to be No. 42 day in Major League Baseball.

However, at Gamescom 2020 Opening Live Event, the team released a new video that packs some WIP in-engine footage from it. The game will be about forming close relationships with a family of characters.

Boseman played the role in Captain America: Civil War (2016), Black Panther (2018), Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame.
