Elon Musk Will Reveal New Information about Neuralink Through Live Event

The possibilities with the technology are endless, including but not limited to-helping people with brain injuries, controlling computers with your brain and, "telepathy", according to Musk (a little skeptical about the last one).

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk is all set to reveal a key update on his most secretive brain-computer interface technology startup Neuralink this week.

Musk confirmed that an updated implantation device will be shown on Friday, but was not clear about whether the microchip will also be part of the demo.

On the Joe Rogan Podcast in May, Musk claimed the company could start human trials of its chips within a year.

Elon Musk, who recently made a new tweet, announced that they will show a working Neuralink device at an online event to be held on Friday. But the company told STAT that many of its findings were "either partially or completely false", adding that its story would "look foolish" if it were published before Neuralink's Friday event, which is set to begin at 6 p.m.

As a public service, Shaw Media will provide open access to information related to the COVID-19 ( Coronavirus ) emergency. There are 896 active cases of COVID-19 in the province and 4,199 people who tested positive for COVID-19 have recovered.

He also confirmed that the chip would be able to control hormone levels, which would have the potential to help with anxiety relief, among other things. The Neuralink device, in its current form, will sit outside the head with threads thinner than hair connected to the brain to convey information. "Neuralink may have this in a human as soon as this year", Musk had tweeted. "Wait until you see the next version vs what was presented a year ago".

While the initial use cases of Neuralink's technology revolve around eliminating neurological brain impairments such as Parkinson's disease, Musk has a more far-reaching goal: making sure that people can keep up with AI.

The chip which will be wireless in the future can read, transmit high-volume data and amplify signals from the brain.

Based in San Francisco, Neuralink was founded by Musk in 2016 and first publicly disclosed in early 2017.
