Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo Named 2019-20 Defensive Player of the Year
The season's not over and the awards are already coming in for Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The 25-year-old's 97.4 defensive rating is the best mark on the team among players with at least 10 games played in 2019-20.
The Bucks lead that series three-games-to-one after three straight victories.
Antetokounmpo joined Michael Jordan, Hakeem Olajuwon, David Robinson and Kevin Garnett as players to do the MVP-Defensive Player of the Year double. Antetokounmpo received 75 of the 100 first-place votes from selected media members. The graceful is the Greek forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, which has managed to stay ahead of Anthony Davis (Lakers) and Rudy Gobert (Jazz) in voting. He was runner-up for the defensive award past year.
Milwaukee's league-best defensive rating allowed the Bucks to rack up the best net rating in the league (by far) and march to a first-place finish in the Eastern Conference.
