Howzat! The cricketer who hit a six... and his auto window

Kevin O'Brien's was desperately unlucky to put his own car window through

Big-hitting Ireland batsman Kevin O'Brien smashed a six into his own auto window during a domestic Twenty20 match on Thursday.

In an unbelievable coincidence, while hitting a six at Pembroke Cricket Club at Sandymount, Dublin, O'Brien managed to send the ball straight through the back window of his own auto parked outside.

The 26-year-old was a bright light in a rain-affected Test Triangle Inter-Provincial Series match at Pembroke, with his quickfire 82 coming off just 37 balls.

Cricket Ireland's Twitter account posted a picture of O'Brien's damaged vehicle, although the 36-year-old O'Brien had the consolation of helping Leinster secure a win.

Coronavirus reinfection: Scientists say there is no need to panic right now
Not much evidence exists about the immune response in patients who've been infected with coronavirus. Because the genetic make-up of the strains are different enough, this represents a true reinfection.

O'Brien, who holds the record for the fastest century in World Cup history in Ireland's 2011 win over England, plundered eight sixes for Leinster Lightning in his side's win over the North-West Warriors.

The Twenty20 game was reduced to 12 overs-a-side and the Dublin hosts finished with an impressive 124-4.

He was also part of the Ireland side that beat England in a one-day global in Southampton earlier this summer, as his team earned a consolation win in a series they lost 2-1.

The Warriors could only muster 104-8 response, helping Leinster to a 24-run victory under the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method.
