Netflix’s new documentary takes you behind the scenes of ‘The Witcher’

New episodes of Netflix's fantasy drama are still a long wait away, though, and the hunger for more Geralt-based content can not merely be sated by The Witcher books and games. Anyone who has seen the series can attest that the timeline trickery was somewhat confusing at first, but - in part, thanks to some handy "The Witcher timeline explained" articles - we all got there in the end.

The Netflix Original Documentary takes a backstage look at the characters, crew, and locations that went into creating the world of The Witcher. As you can see in the trailer, the special features interviews with Henry Cavill, Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan, and showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, among others, as they share everything from how they joined the project to what makes Jaskier's song so damn catchy.

The next season of The Witcher will feature Kristofer Hivju (Game of Thrones) as Nivellen and Kim Bodnia (Killing Eve) as Vesemir. To help alleviate that, the streaming service has dropped a new 32-minute special called Making The Witcher today. For any fan of The Witcher, the series won't be one to miss.

Netflix' The Witcher proved far more successful than most people had previously given it credit for. But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a risky secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.

Netflix surprised fans with a fascinating new documentary looking at how the team behind Henry Cavill's The Witcher brought the bold fantasy series to life. Sean Daniel is set to executive produce under the Sean Daniel Company with his partner Jason Brown.

Blood Origin will tell the tale of the Elven civilization before its fall, and most importantly reveal the forgotten history of the very first Witcher.
