All 140 staff and students at Fellowes High School in Pembroke are being tested for the virus.

Students are being asked to check their school emails for information from their teacher regarding continued online learning.

In a letter to staff and families, the district said exposure was limited to just one classroom in the building. Although Stavropoulos' daughter's grades are good, she still gets frustrated. "There's obviously internet problems". Those individuals may return to school on September 28 as long as they are not exhibiting any coronavirus symptoms.

"My feeling at first was, it's OK, it's only two days", she said.

Cocking said teachers can not film a classroom with students in it and then send it to students at home.

CCSD teams have participated in the four fall sports that were approved by the Colorado High School Activities Association - softball, cross country, boys tennis and boys golf - but it is unknown if the latest quarantine will have an effect on the tennis and golf teams, which are both set for regional competitions in the next week. A new incident at Cherry Creek High School forced about 1,600 students to leave the classroom for at least two weeks.

The case at St. Anne is Waterloo Region's second confirmed case in the school system. This week, they started letting those involved in hands-on courses in buildings as well.

"The safety of students and employees in the district's number one priority", the release states.

Millions of Ontario students returned to school this month, and as of Thursday afternoon, 51 schools had reported a combined 62 cases of COVID-19. Last week, a student at Young Scholars of Central Pennsylvania Charter School was confirmed to have had COVID-19. Families still would have the option of staying remote.

Cary resident Monika Gwiztz said children are missing out with remote learning.

"The kids are starving, basically, to get back to some kind of a normal life", she said. "It's not healthy for anybody".

The Peel District School Board notes that a positive case at a school does not necessarily mean the individual was exposed to COVID-19 at the school - they may have been exposed elsewhere in the community.

The maximum number of people who are now allowed to gather indoors is 10. The district is also using the time to thoroughly clean schools.

Still, not every student came back to school. "We need to learn, our kids need to play sports".

The visibly frustrated father says he's still waiting for a call from the North Bay Regional Health Centre to book a COVID-19 test, as well as from the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit for clarification. In-person, hybrid learning is expected to resume October 1.
