Actor Jaya Prakash Reddy, who played many memorable roles in hundreds of films passed away at the age of 73 on Tuesday following a heart attack. He was 74 years old. Known for his versatility in Telugu cinema, the actor has also appeared in Tamil films like Aaru, Anjaneya, Uthama Puthiran, etc.

Meanwhile, several celebs from the industry including Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR, Prakash Raj and others shared messages of grief and condolences on their social media handles.

His most popular films include Samarasimha Reddy, Preminchukundam Raa, Narasimha Naidu, Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana, Julayi, Ready, Kick, Jayam Manadera, Jamba Lakidi Pamba, Avunu Valliddaru Istapaddaru, Kabaddi Kabbadi, Gabbar Singh, Chennakeshavareddy, Nayak and Chatrapathi, to name a few.

Director SS Rajamouli, in his eulogy piece, wrote: "Shocked and saddened to know about the sudden demise of #JayaPrakashReddy garu". We were such a great combination onscreen. Will definitely miss him.
