The motion of no-confidence was filed by presidential candidate Jordi Farre on August 26, one day after club's all-time high scorer and six-time Ballon d'Or victor Messi sent the burofax saying he wished to leave the Catalan club.

Lionel Messi was back in full training with Barcelona on Wednesday (Sept 9) for the first time since conceding defeat in his battle to leave the club. He had not been with the squad since announcing he wanted to leave and then deciding to stay to avoid a legal dispute with Barcelona.

Unlike Monday, when the 33-year-old Argentine superstar had to train alone under La Liga's coronavirus protocol, he joined up with the rest of the squad in the session taken by new coach Ronald Koeman.

The Brazilian attacker has now resumed training with his fellow Barcelona teammates, Spanish Sergio Busquets and Ansu Fati were also back from global duties with the La Roja as well as Frenkie De Jong who's been away with the Netherlands.
