The Mazda CX-30's compact profile help it gracefully navigate through tight turns, while its bold proportions provide ample space to travel with all the essentials.

The CX-30 Turbo tips the scales in at 1583kg (dry) - 108kg more than the non-turbocharged, 2.5-litre, all-wheel-drive CX-30 now offered in Australia. Now, it has taken out the powertrain on the new Mazda 3 and stuffed it inside the CX-30.

In new CX-30 flagship, the Skyactiv-G 2,5 Turbo engine delivers 186 kW and 434 N.m when run on 93-octane fuel (or 169 kW and 420 N.m when fed 87-octane petrol).

"The 2021 Mazda CX-30 2.5 Turbo will help uplift itself in its class with elevated performance and capability, new advanced technologies and superb craftsmanship and design", Mazda said in its announcement.

A new support feature, Traffic Jam Assist, enhances Mazda Radar Cruise Control in certain situations by providing steering inputs that can help assist the driver stay within lane markers at speeds under 40 miles per hour. Meanwhile, standard equipment are an 8.8-inch infotainment display, a 12-speaker Bose sound system and a range of i-Activsense safety and driver assistance systems.

Instead, the company only said the latest version would go on sale before the end of the year, so we can at least rest assured that everything will be revealed in the coming weeks. The company has announced the new addition but made a decision to postpone revealing all the juicy details - such as performance credentials and pricing.
