"The recovery is rapidly decelerating and we still have half of the lost jobs to get back". But the rate of hiring has slowed each month this summer, a signal that the economic recovery from the coronavirus pandemic may be losing steam. Education, accommodation and food services drove the gains in services, while manufacturing led the gains in the goods-producing sector. "We continue to be optimistic that the economy has turned a corner and that we'll continue to see steady progress".
