Of all the bad times Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne have survived in their 38-year marriage, including his very public struggles with addiction, the night the Black Sabbath rocker attempted to kill The Talk star has to be one of the scariest. And the lowest low?

The attempted murder occurred when Osborne, 72, was high on drugs.

The former Black Sabbath vocalist's life has been revealed in a new docu-series, "Biography: The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne", and in the wake of its release, Jack got candid about his father's working-class upbringing, addiction and his struggles with Parkinson's disease.

"[It was] not exactly one of my greatest achievements", Ozzy said in the documentary that premiered on A&E on Monday, as quoted by Us Weekly.

We'd say that's a bit of an understatement!

"I felt the calmest I had ever felt in my life", Ozzy recalled. "Everything was just peaceful".

Sharon, meanwhile, had a much clearer memory of the attack.

The couple worked through this issue, and others they've faced through the years, and are still together to this day.

"He came into the room", Sharon revealed.

"I had no idea who sat across from me on the sofa but it wasn't my husband", she said.

Osbourne expressed, All I remember is awakening in Amersham jail, and I mentioned the cop, 'What am I doing here?' and he says, 'You need me to look at your charge?' So he analyzes, 'John Michael Osbourne, you have got been captured for attempted manslaughter.

"And he just said, 'We've come to a decision that you've got to die.' He was calm - very calm - then suddenly he lunged across at me and just dived on me and started to choke me".

Sharon tried to grab some stuff on the table and felt the panic button and pressed it.

"All I could think of was the kids".

"It was probably the most frightened I've ever been", Sharon continued.

While the 71-year-old said he was "very very surprised when she dropped the charges", what's perhaps more surprising is that she remained with him after that experience.

Sharon, 67, admitted she never expected more from Ozzy - who she Wednesday 38 years ago - than just an one-night stand when they initially connected.

Sharon said "Thank God the judge put him in treatment for six months. And I think the fact that you're all of a sudden being invited to the White House Correspondents' Dinner and President Bush is up there giving you a call out, that was kind of cool".

"I'll tell you what it was like". Also, do you need that for the kids?
