Sony apologizes for botched PlayStation 5 pre-orders

While we tried to keep on top of notifying people of where pre-orders were happening there was still a lot of confusion, and a lot of disappointment as people missed out due to Sony's poor communication.

Sony took to Twitter to address the preorder disaster and apologize to gamers, writing, "Let's be honest: PS5 preorders could have been a lot smoother". "We really apologize for that".

According to various reports, retailers appear to have fewer PS5 Digital Edition consoles than the standard, $100 more expensive PS5 with a disc drive.
