The Moon Turns Blue This Halloween

The keep going blue moon showed up on March 31, 2018.

If you miss a glimpse this year, you will have to wait until 2039 for another October 31 blue moon, McClatchy News reported. And since there are 29 days between moons and most months have 30 or 31 days, having two full moons in a month doesn't happen often.

Regardless of the name, the blue moon won't really seem blue in shading.

Typically, there are 12 full moons in a year since one happens every month.
