Fast food giant McDonald's has unveiled a marketing partnership with rapper Travis Scott that a majority of franchisees opposed according to the trade website Restaurant Business. But a South Florida franchisee said the deal"makes all the sense

The meal offers a Quarter Pounder meal with lettuce, pickles, onions, ketchup and mustard, along with a medium fry with a BBQ sauce on the side. The meal will be available at restaurants across the USA excluding Hawaii, Alaska and US territories. Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be any toys that come along with it.

The rapper, who has explicit lyrics in his music, has drawn criticism from McDonald's franchisees, with one survey showing two-thirds opposing the partnership, Restaurant Business reported.

Travis Scott officially has his own meal at McDonald's now, making him the first celebrity since Michael Jordan in the 90s to collaborate with the company to that extent.

"Travis is a true McDonald's fan having grown up visiting our restaurants in Houston, not to mention one of the biggest musical acts and cultural icons in the world", Flatley said in a statement.

DeGeneres vows candor as clouded talk show charts its return
Ellen DeGeneres poses in the press room at the 77th annual Golden Globe Awards on January 5, 2020, in Beverly Hills, Calif. Talking about the same, Ellen DeGeneres, said in a statement , "I can't wait to get back to work and back to our studio".

McDonald's is already the biggest player in the fast-food game (via QSR), but the brand is hoping some of Scott's success and Gen-Z appeal will rub off on the Golden Arches (via Eater). The "Astronomical concert" attracted around 12.3 million people, creating a new record for the game.

"I couldn't be more excited to bring the Cactus Jack x McDonald's collaboration to life", Travis Scott said in a statement. "Including a charitable component was key for me, and I can't wait for people to see what we have in store". The franchise's restaurants around the United States also carry the $6 menu item, as advertised in a national campaign featuring Scott as an action figure (watch it below).

Additionally, Scott and the Cactus Jack team have designed new uniforms for McDonald's staff across the country. Prices might vary by location.
