Scotland boss Steve Clarke has warned his side not to underestimate the "new-look" Czech Republic side they face in Monday's Nations League fixture.

Despite their extraordinary stance, UEFA are adamant the game will still be played.

But the Czech FA had subsequently announced that the squad would now be heading their separate ways amid a coronavirus threat.

Key performers Tomas Soucek and Patrik Schick are now in quarantine.

Soucek and Schick were given the order ahead of the Czech Republic's 3-1 win over Slovakia on Friday evening, the same night that Scotland opened their Nations League campaign with a 1-1 draw at home against Israel. "The match is going ahead as scheduled", he said.

The Czech FA delayed their departure for Slovakia by 24 hours while the entire squad was re-tested and the players made the 200-mile journey by road after splitting up into small groups.

PA have also reported that Scotland chiefs are still working on the assumption that the game will take place for certain.

"Furthermore, Czech Republic have confirmed they will be able to fulfil their obligations to the match and, more importantly, to the stringent COVID-19 testing regime that is sacrosanct to ensure the safety of our players and staff".

Should the team have less than the required amount, then the match will be rescheduled.

A spokesman for UEFA, European football's governing body, insisted on Saturday that the game will be played.
