We already knew that this was a high-chance date since last month, but it has now been officially confirmed.

The virtual event will take place on Apple's official website.

It is expected that Apple will announce a ton of new upgrades.

According to 9to5mac, removing these in-box accessories will not only allow Apple to sell the device for less but it could also reduce the size of the iPhone packaging considerably, helping lower Apple's freight costs and ultimately be better for the environment.

Lastly, there will be a 6.7-inch variant that will be the "Max Pro" model of the iPhone 12 series with top-tier specs and an eye-watering price tag.

They had varied reasons, with the most cited being longer software support (55.9 percent).
