In recent news, Rain On Me has been nominated for Best Video, Best Song, and Best Collaboration at the upcoming MTV Europe Music Awards. The two appeared together in 2019 on the song "Nobody" for the Charlie's Angels movie soundtrack. Clarifying that she meant no offense, the 67-year-old quickly added, "She's alright".

Though her lack of interest in working with another woman is one of the main reasons Chaka Khan doesn't want to collaborate with Grande again, her not being a fan of their song "Nobody" could be another hint as to why she feels this way.

Before changing her mind about female collaborations, Khan has also worked with singers such as Mary J. Blige,Whitney Houston, Anastacia, and Lulu.

"I love Lalah Hathaway". "That a bad singing b_ch", she described. She got her own world, like I got my own planet. "It's handsome enough for me". So, uh-uh. And we can just effect each other, planetary-like.
