Earlier at the BBMAs 2020, John Legend paid an emotional tribute to his wife Chrissy Teigen post her unexpected miscarriage.

At the time, Legend, shared Chrissy's public statement, adding, "We love you, Jack", which was to be the baby's name. "It just wasn't enough", she wrote on Instagram, in part.

The crooner took the stage at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles to deliver a touching performance of his ballad, "Never Break". "We've experienced the highest highs and lowest lows together", he wrote alongside a video of his performance of "Never Break" on the Billboard Music Awards. "John Legend is one of my favourite people on this planet and it's easy for us all to feel that way about them because he and Chrissy just have this warm way of inviting us into their world, the highs and the lows". He expanded on how in awe he is of wife Chrissy on Twitter, and today, she posted again for the first time to show how much her husband's words meant to her.

He continued: "I have faith that as long as we walk this earth, we will hold each other's hands through every tear, through every up and down, through every test". "Our love will remain". "Thank you to everyone who has been sending us prayers and well wishes, flowers, cards, words of comfort and empathy".
